Publication: ARHGAP12 functions as a developmental brake on excitatory synapse function

After years of painstaking labwork at Radboud University Nijmegen there is now a publication on line:
Ba et al., ARHGAP12 functions as a developmental brake on excitatory synapse function, Cell Reports 2016. (open access)
It’s all about neuronal plasticity, in this case the turnover of dendritic spines on hippocampal pyramidal cells in culture. Quite a few genes are involved there, this publication is about the effects ARHGAP12 but we also investigated OCRL1 (Loewe syndrome). Thank you Vivien ! (“Vivien” is Wei Ba, the first autor). This work was made possible by Dr. N. Nadif Kasri and Prof.Dr. R.J.A.W van Wezel at Radboud University.
